A little about me . . .
I am an interior designer and stay at home mom to 3 cute little boys with a huge passion for decorating on a budget. I absolutely LOVE decorating my home and finding ways to spend as little money as possible while doing it. A few of my decorating obsessions include throw pillows, lamps, anything vintage looking, and spray paint. They just make me happy. I’m also pretty good with my husband’s power tools and love a good DIY challenge.
There are a few philosophies I try to live by when decorating my own home:
DIY for less, and never pay full price for anything over 30 dollars. There is just no need to spend a lot of money on things that you can do yourself for a mere fraction of the price. If there’s something you just have to have, either save for it, wait till it goes on sale, search for a cheaper look-a-like item, or use a good coupon. This website is dedicated to giving you tips and tricks, step-by-step instructions, and hopefully, some motivation to transform your space on any budget. Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a power tool, or tackled a painting project before. I’ll show you how to do it. I believe that your home should bring you happiness and inspire you to do great things. It can be a wonderful expression of who you are. Whether you have a little, a lot, or nothing at all to spend, it IS possible to make your home a place you love.
I have to give a shout out to my husband for his never-ending patience and support in helping me to make Budget Wise Home a reality. I feel very blessed and grateful to have the opportunity to do something I am passionate about.
