I love that this is a new take on plates on the wall with plate hangers. It really defines them as a piece of art. Love it!

I love the colors of the room. Did you make the curtains, I mean paint the striped on or were you able to find the fabric somewhere? I am making a twin duvet for my daughter and the striped fabric is just what I have been looking for.

Can't wait to see your cabinets in place!!! I just wanted to add - I don't know what all the other state's laws are, but here in Massachusetts oil based paints are illegal. Now, by illegal, I mean that you can't purchase oil based paints in any of the paint/hardware stores here in state, or purchase and carry it across state line. I'm sure there's nothing that can be done if you're lucky enough to have some kicking around in your garage or stumble upon some on Craigslist ; )

Maybe some nice reader will post a good alternative here, to making latex paint more durable? This is a problem I've run into myself, when painting cabinets!

So are these real wood cabinets? We have cabinets that look similar, but I think it's just a laminate.

I LOVE all that fabric!
Where do get such beautiful fabric?
What are your top favorite resources when looking for new fabric?
Do you ever sell any of your own supply?

Did you paint this while the door was closed? Or while it was open? My biggest issue in painting my door is where the fresh paint meets the door jam and therefore sticks and peels off. Did you wait an excessive amount of time or a really warm day for the door to be dry? or did you just paint the exposed areas while closed so there is a little bit of a border around the edges when you open it up?
