Get ready to have fun this week with some fantastic DIY Mirror Projects. This starburst mirror project is going to kick us off this week. Most stores will charge a lot of money for these mirrors, but you can make one yourself for a whole lot less. All you need to make this fabulous mirror are craft store mirrors, wooden dowels, bamboo skewers, metallic spray paint, and some hot glue. Apartment Therapy has a very detailed tutorial for this project here. They used silver leafing, but you can get a similar look that is cheaper and a lot quicker by using a metallic silver spray paint instead. The center mirror is called a blind spot mirror that you can find in an automotive parts shop. You might be able to find this in the automotive section of stores like Wal Mart or Target as well. Other than that, everything else can be found at the craft store. This mirror project is so easy to make and can become a stunning focal piece for any wall in your home.
