Lampshade Trim — Budget Wise Home

Lampshade Trim

I found a great lamp at a thrift store a while back that, surprisingly, wasn’t in need of any spray paint.  Even the shade was in great shape.  But it was feeling a little plain to me, so I decided to give it new life with some trim.  I grabbed a few packs of double fold bias tape and some fabric glue.

About 10 minutes later I had this.

It found a perfect home in my boys room.

  1. I love how you layered the trim. I was thinking about this just last night to add a touch a black to my to-be living room, but I might do black and gray. Great job, yet again!

Oh wow, I really love that! Subtle and very nice (I find that a lot of lamp shade redos can be… a bit much), and I’m going to do this today! Thanks for the great idea of using bias tape!
