This Week: Displaying Christmas Cards — Budget Wise Home

This Week: Displaying Christmas Cards

It’s that wonderful time of year again when all those Christmas cards start piling in.  I just love it!  Instead of the old “magnet on the refrigerator” idea, have a little fun with your display this year.  Keep those cards from turning into clutter by creating something that will add to your Christmas decor.

Budget Tip of the Day: Christmas Card Wreath

Turn your Christmas cards into a holiday wreath to adorn a window or door.  This idea couldn’t be easier to pull off.  All it takes is an embroidery hoop, clothespins, a piece of festive ribbon, and some hot glue.  Attach the clothespins to the hoop using hot glue.  Alternate facing the pins inward and outward and space them about 1 1/2 inches apart.  Hang your hoop with the ribbon and start adding those cards.  Talk about easy, right!  This one is definitely on my holiday to-do list.

Come back tomorrow for a new tip on displaying Christmas cards.

Here are some more fun embroidery hoop decor ideas for you to look through.

There’s also all new budget items of the week on the sidebar.  Target.com has so much awesome stuff on clearance right now.  Enjoy!

I love this idea. Last year I hung ribbon on the walls and used close pins. I think I want to make one of these for this year!
